Setting Daisy Chains is situated centrally in Heywood, just behind the Civic Centre, making it easily accessible to anyone in and around Heywood. Please Note Your child will not be allowed home with anyone other than their parents or legal guardians, unless prior arrangements have been made. One month’s notice is required when your child leaves nursery. New Intakes We prefer to introduce children to the nursery gradually, each child is different therefore, the intake of a child is discussed with the parents first. All new children/ parents are given a welcome booklet before commencement. This should be completed as to give the nursery some knowledge of your child. Staff All staff at our nurseries are either qualified or working towards one of the following standards: N.N.E.B. - B/TEC - N.V.Q Level 3 Age of Admittance Nursery 3mth – 3yrs Pre-School 3yrs – 5yrs Before and after 5yrs – 11yrs Hours of Opening Full time 7:30 – 5:30pm Morning 7:30 – 12:30pm Afternoon 1:00 – 5:30pm Absences It is important to notify us as soon as possible if your child is to be absent. Holidays The nursery is open approximately 51 weeks a year except statutory bank holidays. Each child is entitled to have 2 weeks holiday each year, plus a week at Christmas for which there will be no charge. Bank holidays are to be paid for. Sickness Any child suffering form an infectious illness should be kept at home until the symptoms have disappeared. Any child that becomes ill while attending nursery will have their parents/ guardians contacted for suitable arrangements to be made. In the unlikely event of an emergency, the officer in charge will take your child to the hospital and you will be notified as soon as possible. Valuables Children are not to bring money, jewellery or any other valuables into the nursery, as the nursery cannot be responsible for them.
